Highlights & What´s included

Overview

This 4-hour private tour takes you through two of Antoni Gaudí’s most fascinating creations, offering a glimpse into the artistic evolution of the architect who transformed Barcelona into a living work of art. From the dreamlike landscapes of Park Güell to the intricate details of Casa Vicens, this tour unveils the origins of Gaudí’s genius and his deep connection with nature and craftsmanship.

A stop along Passeig de Gràcia offers a fascinating glimpse into Barcelona’s architectural splendor and the city’s transformation during the 19th century. This elegant boulevard is home to two of Antoni Gaudí’s most iconic masterpieces: Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera). From the exterior, Casa Batlló mesmerizes with its undulating facade, vibrant mosaics, and skeletal balconies, evoking the legend of Saint George and the dragon. Just a short walk away, Casa Milà captivates with its wavy stone exterior and wrought-iron balconies, resembling a living, breathing structure. These buildings not only showcase Gaudí’s innovative genius but also reflect the rise of modernism and the cultural renaissance that defined Barcelona in the 19th century. Strolling along Passeig de Gràcia, you’ll feel the grandeur of an era when art, architecture, and ambition came together to shape the city’s identity. It’s a perfect opportunity to admire these landmarks and delve deeper into the history of a Barcelona that was reimagining itself as a hub of creativity and modernity.

We continue to Casa Vicens, Gaudí’s first major architectural work and the foundation of his creative journey. Built as a summer house for the Vicens family, this hidden gem is a stunning blend of Moorish, oriental, and natural influences. Its colorful ceramic tiles, wrought iron details, and unique interior spaces reveal an architect experimenting with form, light, and texture, laying the groundwork for his later masterpieces.

Our experience could finish at Park Güell, one of Gaudí’s most imaginative projects and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally conceived as an exclusive residential estate, the park became an artistic playground where Gaudí fused architecture with nature. As we stroll through its vibrant mosaics, organic structures, and undulating forms, we’ll admire iconic features like the Dragon Stairway, the Hypostyle Hall, and the Serpentine Bench—a masterpiece of color and ergonomics that overlooks the city. At the highest point, the Calvary viewpoint rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona.

This tour is a perfect introduction to Gaudí’s early vision, allowing us to witness the evolution of his style—from the decorative exuberance of Casa Vicens to the organic fluidity of Park Güell. It’s an essential experience for architecture lovers and those who want to uncover the roots of Barcelona’s most iconic artist.

What will you see

Casa Milà or La Pedrera (outside) It was finished in 1912 and from outside its sight is already very surprising, a massive house made of stone carved to look undulated like the sea. It is possible to access the rooftop, probably the most amazing in town, the attic and one of the apartments.

Casa Batlló (outside) also sits in Passeig de Gràcia, a couple of blocks from La Pedrera. It was finished in 1906. The view from outside is surprising but also its interior will amaze you. The quality and work of the materials used, their shapes and colours everything has been set to make the visitor feel in the ocean, surrounded by seaweed, fish, bubbles. A whole experience!

Casa Vicent is a true gem that captures the essence of Barcelona’s architectural and cultural spirit. Located in the charming Gràcia neighborhood, this historic house is considered one of the early inspirations for Antoni Gaudí, reflecting the roots of modernist architecture. What makes Casa Vicent truly special is its unique blend of styles, where exotic influences from Japanese and Arabic art merge seamlessly with the vibrant modernist movement. The façade is a visual feast, adorned with colorful mosaics and intricate details that showcase the richness of its design. Every corner of the house tells a story, from its playful use of light and shadow to its harmonious integration of natural elements. Visiting Casa Vicent is not just a step back in time, but an immersive experience into the creative soul of Barcelona, where history, art, and innovation come together in a breathtaking display. It’s a must-see for anyone seeking to understand the origins of Gaudí’s genius and the magic of modernist architecture.

Park Güell is one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks and a testament to the creative genius of Antoni Gaudí. Located on a hillside with panoramic views of the city, this park is much more than a green space: it is an open-air masterpiece that uniquely combines architecture, nature, and symbolism. Gaudí designed the park as an urban project inspired by the idea of a utopian garden, where organic architecture blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. From the famous mosaic dragon on the main staircase to the colorful, undulating benches of the central plaza, every detail of Park Güell is a burst of creativity and color. The covered walkways with tree-like columns, the viaducts integrated into the rock, and the whimsical shapes that mimic nature make this place magical and surreal. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Park Güell is not only a symbol of Catalan modernism but also a space that invites imagination and contemplation. Visiting Park Güell is like stepping into a world of fantasy, where architecture and nature intertwine to create an unforgettable experience.
