About this tour

"Color is life—light is its greatest expression. A building must welcome the sun like a flower." "Beauty is the radiance of truth—a work must be structurally sound before it can be beautiful."

Highlights & What’s included

Overview

Step into the world of Antoni Gaudí on an extraordinary full-day journey through the artistic and architectural wonders that define Barcelona. This exclusive itinerary unveils ten of his masterpieces, offering a comprehensive exploration of his visionary genius, from his earliest works to his most emblematic creations.

To be able to understand why Gaudi was admired and envied with the same intensity. Father of modern structures, architectural genius, alchemist, team player, visionary, naturalist and finish the tour loving Antoni Gaudi as much as those of us who make up gauditours.

More than just a tour, this is a deep dive into Gaudí’s Barcelona, an unparalleled opportunity to witness the evolution of his artistry while uncovering the city’s diverse neighborhoods and hidden corners. Every building, every intricate detail, tells the story of a man who revolutionized architecture, blending tradition with radical innovation, nature with geometry, and spirituality with structural audacity.

As often said in artistic circles: while all of Modernisme fits within Gaudí, Gaudí himself transcends Modernisme. His legacy is a symphony of tradition and avant-garde, history and modernity, social consciousness and religious devotion, noble materials and experimental structures. His works, crafted with master artisans, embody a timeless dialogue between creativity and nature, making him not just an architect but an ambassador of Catalonia’s artistic soul.

This is All About Gaudí—an experience like no other.

Itinerary

  • Your journey begins with a hotel pickup in Barcelona, where your expert guide will introduce you to the life and works of Antoni Gaudí
  • Park Güell (Interior Visit) – Start your day in the fresh morning air, when the park is at its most serene. Perched atop Barcelona, this whimsical garden-city project offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into Gaudí’s vision of a utopian community. Wander through its mosaic-clad structures, colorful serpentine benches, and iconic dragon staircase, all blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
  • Panoramic Drive– On our way to the next destination, enjoy a panoramic drive through Barcelona’s most emblematic streets and landmarks, with insights into the city’s rich architectural and cultural heritage.
  • Finca Güell Pavilions & Dragon Gate (Exterior Visit)– A striking display of Gaudí’s early experimentation with wrought iron, the legendary dragon gate marks the entrance to the Güell family estate.

  • Col·legi de les Teresianes (Exterior Visit)– A rare example of Gaudí working within austere constraints, this school’s gothic-inspired design showcases his ability to infuse movement and lightness even within simple forms.
  • Casa Vicens (Interior Visit optional) – Gaudí’s first major work, this summer residence is a riot of color, ceramic tiles, and Moorish-inspired patterns. Built for a wealthy tile manufacturer, it reveals the architect’s early fascination with combining affordable materials into breathtaking designs.

  • Casa Calvet (Exterior Visit)– The most conventional of Gaudí’s designs, yet still brimming with his signature creativity. This elegant structure won him his only official award for architectural excellence.
  • Sagrada Família (Interior Visit)– The pinnacle of Gaudí’s genius, this awe-inspiring basilica is unlike any other religious structure in the world. Step inside to experience its ethereal play of light through intricate stained-glass windows, soaring tree-like columns, and deeply symbolic façades.

At the last visited site (probably Sagrada Familia, but it depends on tickets availability), or any point of your choice within Barcelona city limits. However, we always recommend ending the tour at the Sagrada Família, as we consider that a walk once the tour is over is an unforgettable experience.

Yes, we will have a wonderful lunch in an incredible place. Food is not included and depends on the order. It costs approximately €30-40.

We have a chauffeured prívate Mercedes car or minivan with dedicated driver at your disposal.

Sagrada Familia is a Catholic church, visitors must dress appropriately. The dress code at the Sagrada Familia Church isn’t usually too strict, but they have occasionally banned access to people wearing short shorts (closer to their butts than to their knees), deep plunging necklines or open backs. If you are visiting Barcelona in the summertime, just make sure to bring a scarf to cover your shoulders before entering and avoid wearing shorts that day. Swimwear is not allowed.

Only upon request during the booking process. The number of tickets available is restricted to just a few every hour, for an extra fee. Kids ages 6-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 6 aren’t allowed up the tower. The ascent to the towers must be done by elevator after usually a short wait. The descent can only be done through the staircase. The views are amazing, but they were not created to be viewpoints but bell towers. The descent is not recommended for claustrophobic people, people with heart problems, pregnant women or fearful people.

Of course! In our experience, we recommend the guided tour at Casa Mila, because it is a much more representative example of Gaudi's architecture and the visit offers an overview of the 19th century bourgeoisie. We consider that the visit to Casa Batlló is very intuitive and is usually overcrowded for a sightseeing tour. In addition, they have a technology that facilitates the individual visit, however we are happy to accommodate your wishes.
