VISIT THE DALI HOUSE IN PORTLLIGAT
Visitors are required to arrive 30 minutes before their allotted entry time. During that time, you’ll retrieve the tickets (that we’ll book in advance) with your guide and have some time for toilet and gift shop BEFORE the visit.
You’ll be joining a small group of other people and follow one of the museum guides around the building. I’s not a free visit: visitors are required to stick to the group and are not allowed to wonder on their own. Our guide will only be able to add up little pieces of information to the speech given by the museum guide, trying to not disturb the rest of the visitors.
IS THERE A LUNCH STOP?
Yes, we’ve selected a wonderful option for you to enjoy a wonderful traditional meal. It will be part of an unforgettable memory.
HOW DO WE MOVE AROUND?
Rides in Mercedes car or minivan for upto 6 of you + guide & dedicated driver. Walking during the visits.
THIS TOUR IS WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY?
This tour is partially wheelchair friendly. With advance notice, we can adapt transportation and parts of the itinerary to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. However, accessibility varies across the sites:
Dalí Theatre-Museum (Figueres): Mostly accessible. The museum provides wheelchair access via ramps and elevators, but certain sections (like the crypt and a few upper rooms) may be difficult or impossible to access due to architectural limitations of the historic building.
Dalí House-Museum (Portlligat): Not wheelchair accessible. The house is a labyrinthine space made of interconnected fisherman’s huts, with narrow corridors, steps, and uneven floors. Unfortunately, there is no lift or alternative accessible route available.
Cadaqués (Village Walk & Lunch): Partially accessible. The town’s seafront promenade is flat and suitable for wheelchairs. However, the old town has cobblestone streets and some inclines, which might be challenging. Restaurants can be chosen in advance to ensure accessibility.
Girona (Historic Center): Limited accessibility. The medieval old town and Jewish Quarter have many steps, steep slopes, and uneven pavements. That said, with planning, your guide can adapt the route and focus on more accessible sections of the city.
Transportation: A wheelchair-accessible vehicle can be arranged with advance notice.
IS THIS TOUR SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES WITH KIDS?
Absolutely! This private tour offers a fascinating mix of art, history, and beautiful landscapes that can capture the imagination of visitors of all ages. Kids will enjoy the surreal and playful atmosphere of the Dalí Theatre-Museum, exploring the quirky artworks and unusual displays. The scenic coastal village of Cadaqués provides plenty of space to roam and enjoy the seaside.
Your expert guide will tailor the pace and content to keep the whole family engaged and comfortable, ensuring a memorable experience for both children and adults.
